The purpose of the organization as directed by the Winegar Riders ATV/UTV Club By-laws herein is to promote All Terrain Vehicles (ATV), and Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) use on designated ATV/UTV Club trails, routes, and roadways. This organization also will actively promote, seek, and organize the development of routes and trail systems in the Presque Isle area for the enjoyment of its members and economic support of local businesses.
Create an ongoing communications forum to include cooperation with the national & state forestry officials, state & local government officials, private landowners and other ATV/UTV Club recreational vehicle associations. The organization shall promote safe ATV/UTV use through sponsorship of ATV/UTV Safety / Certification Classes and Trail Ambassador Programs. The organization shall also sponsor other civic activities that help promote community and youth activities to advance a positive public image of the sport. Club activities will provide ongoing educational opportunities and reference materials in volunteer development, organization / club management, community action, meeting management, resource development and ensure that area ATV/UTV enthusiasts are aware of the impact of their actions on the environment.

To best support and offer effective assistance to our members, our focus remains on helping form new OHV groups, offering meaningful help to existing ones, promoting a positive image in all things we do, and by establishing a communications network in which all can share their successes or ask for assistance with particular challenges. WATVA remains committed to provide educational programs and materials for youth and adults alike, to encourage awareness of the impact we all have on the future of the sport and industry of off-highway vehicles (OHV).

Winegar Riders are also a member of the Vilas County ATV Alliance which which promotes collaboration and assistance between all the ATV clubs within Vilas County.
